math for devo

This week devon had his twenty first birthday and as I was pondering on this a math problem became lodged in my brain. I think most people won't get this, but Devon will and so this is for him:

Devon = 21
Devon x 2 = Devon + Darren
therefore:
Devon + Darren = 42
